Blackboard was created at Rock Star Camp based out of Fat Dog Studios. The band gelled instantly and their first three singles were written and recorded within a week. Unfortunately tragedy struck and their front man Max was struck by a bus and their drummer Harlan had to go to rehab for an unrelenting peanut butter addiction.

After hours in intensive care Max made it back to the band and Harlan was finally able to rid himself of his addiction (just don’t eat any peanut butter anywhere near him). Sam had a brief run in with the law, but was cleared of noise bylaw violations with little scarring.

Amidst these dark days it seemed like a glimmer of hope when Francesca joined the group and brought with her a very catchy song entitled “Rock Star”. This song propelled the group to massive success and a recording contract.

Their CD release party is scheduled for Friday July 16th at Fat Dog Studios.
