COLD COMFORT - JULY 2010

Cold Comfort

Biography

Jamie Muise           Vocals
Haylee Quain          Vocals
Alexandra Charest  Guitar, Bass
Matthieu Savard     Guitar, Percussion

Cold Comfort met in Britain in a crowd that had gathered to hear Alexandra play in a national bagpipe competition. They were so inspired by the pipes that they decided to form the group right then and there. The group remained a threesome until Matt was discovered playing guitar at a club.

After a long stint in the U.K. Cold Comfort moved to Canada where Alexandra had little choice but to abandon her dreams of a bagpipe virtuoso career. She picked up the guitar and Cold Comfort now featured dual six strings.

After several years of touring as a garage band, Cold Comfort got a break from mega super stars “the Mad Blasters” who invited them to open at the “House of Blues and Garage Music”. The show went so well that Cold Comfort was offered an opportunity to record at Ottawa’s Fat Dog Studios. Their debut CD was recorded and is scheduled for release on Friday July 16th. This will be their world premier performance of their completed works.

So sit back, relax and enjoy Cold Comfort!
