Fareway is a soft rock band formed in July, 2008. Their influences include the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Lynch Mob. Lyrically, the album touches on issues including heartbreak and drug arrest based on personal experiences involving six thousand Pixie Stix.
After only being together for two weeks, Fareway has already written and recorded their debut CD entitled “Will Play for Spatulas”, inspired by the groups’ heartfelt admiration for the unsung hero of the kitchen and barbecue, the humble spatula. The CD has received rave reviews from the New York Times, The Almonte Gazette, National Geographic and the Egonville Milk Plant. Their first single, “the Hustler”, is quickly climbing the charts and bringing crowds to their feet across the nation.
Fareway’s CD is scheduled for release on July 18th during a live performance at Ottawa’s Fat Dog Studios. With fan bases growing rapidly in Canada, the U.S. Ireland and Zimbabwe there’s no limit for these up and coming superstars.
