What happens when you take a group of complete strangers, hand them instruments, throw them into a band, give them 2 weeks to come up with songs, image, style, and a live show? Wonder no more- magic happens!

Rock Star Camp was created in 2003 and has been a huge success ever since! We have been featured on The NewRO, A Channel and on Canada AM as "one of the five most unique camps in the country".

So what happens at camp?

WEEK ONE
During the first week the campers form their bands, get some tips and training on their instrument of choice, learn crucial skills including instrument setup and maintenance, critical listenning, copyright, notes and scales and beats and measures. They write their songs, work out the arrangements and create an image.

WEEK TWO
The bands setup and record in Fat Dog's world class studio. Recording principles and tips are covered. Each band member is multi tracked and the songs are produced and mixed. While this is happenning, the band works on their photo shoot, CD artwork, bio and preps for their live show at the end of the week.

We never know what we're going to get. The kids do all of the writing in whatever style they like. We're there to help them put it all together. The results are always spectacular. Call us to book a tour today. 613-738-7733.

SESSION DATES FOR 2010

Enrollment is limited to 14 kids per 2 week session on a first come first served basis. This year's sessions are:

Monday to Friday 9:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (drop off and pick up 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

July 5th - 16th
July 19th - 30th
August 2nd - 13th
August 16th - 27th
