The School Of The Recording Arts was founded to create a viable alternative to the many audio engineering instutions out there that offered courses that seemed to be too long, too information-based, and too expensive for most people's needs. We have designed the course to be as hands-on as possible from day one because we feel that the only way to effectively learn the many elements of audio engineering is to do it!
Founded by Chad Nesrallah of Fat Dog Productions in 2001, the facilities of The SRA are housed within Fat Dog Studios, a world-class digital recording studio that has gained an enviable reputation in Ottawa (and beyond) . The owners and instructors of The SRA are all performing artists and industry professionals who understand what drives people who are interested in the recording industry. This course was designed for YOU by people who truly know what it will be like for you to take the course.
The School Of The Recording Arts focuses on what an engineer and producer have to go through, before a project is undertaken, and every minute of a session once it's underway. The lessons impart not only the technical information and experience, but, perhaps more importantly, the wisdom required to run a successful studio project. It takes a leader to engineer and produce a complicated recording session, and The School Of The Recording Arts will give you the confidence necessary to gain employment, start your own home studio, or to achieve your goals in this exciting, dynamic, and demanding field.
The School Of The Recording Arts has a well-defined goal: to become a successful audio learning institution renowned for creating highly skilled and successful graduates. Help us to make Ottawa and its environs a hotbed for recording talent - call us today and inquire about our introductory offer. We look forward to recording with you!
